This little recipe came about after I wanted to use up some berries I found buried in the back of the freezer.
Have you ever bought big bags of frozen berries with the intent to be “extra healthy” and make smoothies every morning only to eventually putter out of your well-intentioned goal and the berries find their way to the back of the freezer…behind the chocolate drumsticks, cookie dough ice cream, and Klondike bars?
I know it’s not just me. 😉
Well, fear not!
This little recipe will use up those long-forgotten berries – and if they’re frostbitten, that’s OK too. No one will be able to tell!
Keep in mind that these are rustic so there’s no need for perfection or fussing about.
To remove them from the muffin tin, simply use a butter knife to gently loosen them…and if they’re a bit messy, that’s OK!
